R In our pluralistic times good Christian music is very rare. As I listen to the music of For His Honor I appreciated very much the choice of music they have made and especially the performance. Melodic and harmonius songs in instrumental style, all well arranged and played! One wonders which instrument the siblings couldn´t play. I recommened the CD´s and the music of For His Honor to Christian youthgroups in Austria via my musicportal. We have come to know and love the Lodenkamp family
y For His Honor, a spiritually motivated Christian musical group from Pound, Wisconsin, has presented several programs at our local congregation, Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester, at Larsen, Wisconsin. On two occasions they presented the Sunday morning worship programs. We have come to know and love the Lodenkamp family. The father, Mark Lodenkamp, was very ill but still living for their first performance with us on Mother's Day in 2003. Unfortunately, Mark died some months later, but his vibrant testimony will be remembered by many of us for years to come. His widow, Maria, has courageously carried on the unique ministry of "For His Honor." Her talented three daughters and one son provide the musical talent for their presentations while Maria carries on the role that Mark earlier had as the spokesperson, giving verbal testimony to their living faith in Christ which they share so effectively. The musical selections are beautifully rendered on piano, harp, cello, violin, viola, and flute, often reflecting familiar hymn melodies. On another occasion they gave a program for a women's retreat which effectively inspired the hearts and minds of those in attendance. r Recently I had the priviledge of hearing For His Honor at both our church and at a community performance. It was wonderful to see how richly God has blessed this family not only in music ability but in their love for Him. e I would like to share my personal experience with “For His Honor”, a family of four young people who are talented and dedicated musicians. I have both C.D.’s they have produced and listen to them frequently. Their performance is high quality and the spirit in which they perform is exemplary. They have performed at my invitation for the Family Campmeeting where up to two thousand will be in attendance at a meeting and I would recommend them for performance at any venue that would welcome Christian music.
